Rainbow Mountain: where to leave your luggage in Cusco
Rainbow Mountain tours usually leave Cusco very early, before dawn, and come back in the afternoon. It is the perfect day to store your luggage and carry only what you need.

A long day at high altitude
Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) sits at high altitude, well above Cusco, and the hike to the viewpoint is demanding. The less weight you carry, the more you will enjoy it.
If you check out of your hotel or change accommodation that day, there is no need to take your suitcase on the tour bus.
What to bring that day
- Warm layers, gloves and a hat: it is very cold before dawn.
- Rain jacket and sunscreen.
- Water, snacks and your medicine.
- Your ID and some cash.
Drop your bag even before dawn
Because we are open 24 hours, you can leave your luggage at Av. Huáscar 238 (Wánchaq) before your tour pickup — even at 3 or 4 a.m. — and collect it when you are back.
Book online, choose your bags and times, and you will get a ticket with a code to collect your luggage.
